What Does It Take to Write a Book?

Writing a book takes more than simply putting words on a page. It requires creativity, reflection, and the willingness to explore ideas that truly resonate with readers. A story often begins quietly—perhaps as a thought, a memory, or a feeling—and slowly grows into something meaningful that you want to share with the world.

My friend Ivona Cornwall and I are currently completing our first romance novel, Vines of Affection. The story takes place in the picturesque region of Tuscany in Italy, somewhere between Pisa and Florence, in the charming town of Casole d’Elsa. Our novel is inspired by true events, which makes the writing process even more special and personal for us.

Working on this book together has been a journey filled with imagination, conversation, and creativity. Every chapter brings us closer to finishing a story that we hope will touch readers’ hearts and transport them to the beautiful landscapes of Tuscany.

Today, after spending time writing, I went for a peaceful walk by the Atlantic Ocean near the fishing town of Looe in Cornwall. The sea, the fresh air, and the quiet rhythm of the waves offered a perfect moment to reflect and find inspiration.

Please enjoy the photos I took of the Atlantic Ocean and the nearby fisherman’s town. Moments like these remind me that inspiration for stories can be found everywhere—in nature, in memories, and in everyday life.

Love & thank you.
