“You are not a passive observer in the cosmos. The entire universe is expressing itself through you at this very moment.”

Seeking Guidance

How many times in your life have you needed some really good guidance?

And how often did you feel you had no one to ask? Not because there weren’t people around you, but because you didn’t want to be judged or told what to do, or it simply didn’t feel right to share with people who might not handle it well.

In those moments you had one good option: to ask God, the Source. There you knew you wouldn’t be judged. You would be answered with unconditional Love and loving guidance.

So you asked for guidance, for a sign showing the best way out of a situation, or HOW to do something or receive something you so needed.

And then the difficulty came in hearing or seeing the answer, or simply knowing that this was it.

When we ask for guidance, we always receive it. But seeing it, hearing it, knowing it is another part of the story. So how do we recognize it? There are many ways. Here are two of my favourites.

Inner Peace

When you need to make a decision, ask for Divine Guidance and consider a few possible solutions. The one that brings the most peace to you is the guided one. A guided answer always feels like home in your heart, like something you can actually do.

The 5-Day Test

This is helpful when you’re unsure whether to let something go, such as leaving a situation. Each night before sleep, ask the same question, for example: Is this the right time to sell my home? Each morning, as soon as you wake, write down the answer that feels right. Repeat for 5 days. Then read your answers and notice how you feel about them. You’ll have your guided answer on paper, ready to use. If you need more clarity, you can extend the test to 7 days.

Catherine Ponder writes about seeking Divine Guidance in several of her books. In Open Your Mind to Prosperity, she offers this prayer:

“Every plan which my Father in heaven has not planned for me is now dissolved in my life. The next step in the divine plan quickly manifests. The divine idea, the divine plan for me, now comes to pass. New doors of good now open to me. With a confident spirit, I now go forth into a life of happiness, security, and abundant living. In the name of God.”

What are your favourite ways to seek and receive guidance?

With much love, and thank you for being a part of my life. I appreciate you!
